The Endocrinology Care Unit is the regional unit for the southern healthcare region and provides highly specialized university and county healthcare. The operation includes outpatient and day care services in both Malmö and Lund, as well as inpatient care in Malmö. The specialty of endocrinology and diabetology is one of the profile areas of Skåne University Hospital. Our operation also has a well-developed multidisciplinary collaboration with other disciplines such as surgery, oncology, nephrology, ophthalmology, pathology, and neurosurgery. At the endocrinology clinics in Lund and Malmö, patients with hormonal balance disorders regarding the pituitary gland, thyroid, adrenal glands, and parathyroid glands are investigated and treated. The majority of our patients are individuals with insulin-treated diabetes.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now welcoming a new medical secretary to our Endocrinology Clinic in Malmö.

As a medical secretary, you are an important part of the work team and have a significant role both in the operation and for our patients. Together with your secretary colleagues, you will be jointly responsible for the daily and ongoing administrative tasks such as dictation transcriptions, registration in PASIS, referral management, telephone service, booking, and much more.

In the work team, you collaborate with several different personnel categories and actively contribute to the improvement of routines, working methods, and the development of the unit. Furthermore, there is the opportunity for individual areas of responsibility.

Region Skåne is preparing for the implementation of the comprehensive digital platform Skånes Digitala Vårdsystem (SDV), which will replace several of today’s journal systems. We are open to the continued development that this entails and will need several employees who are interested in being part of this change process.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are a medical secretary with an approved education in Health and Medical Care Administration 80p KY or 400p YH or equivalent medical secretary education. You are an experienced computer user and well acquainted with Outlook and the Office suite, as well as having very good knowledge of the Swedish language and medical terminology. Since we work in PASIS, Melior, Medspeech, knowledge and experience of these various programs are meritorious.

As a person, you are positive and responsible with a flexible approach, and you enjoy working both independently and in a team. You have a good ability to prioritize between different tasks when the pace varies and can adapt your working methods when circumstances require.
