VÄSBY GIRLS' JOURNAL SEEKS COORDINATOR WITH A FOCUS ON DIGITAL SKILLS

Are you looking for a part-time job where you can develop, organize, and support young girls? Väsby Girls' Journal is seeking a coordinator with knowledge of social media, marketing, and organization.

Väsby Girls' Journal is a non-profit organization located in Upplands Väsby. The activities are run by volunteers who, together with the board, manage the chat and hold various activities as well as attend different events in the municipality. The target group of the journal is individuals who identify as girls aged 12-20 years.

We are now looking for a person who can work approximately 20 hours a week to support the board in administrative matters, develop our communication efforts, and manage some coordination and recruitment of volunteers. The position means that you will represent the journal in various contexts. You have a lot of control over your working hours, and much of the work can be done remotely or in our office located in central Upplands Väsby. The position sometimes requires evening work and also meetings on-site in Upplands Väsby. You will have ongoing contact and support from the board in your work. We would like you to be on-site one day a week to more easily connect with organizations and actors in the local community. Väsby Girls' Journal has begun work to develop a broader network and build relationships with, for example, schools and youth centers, where the coordinator will play an important role.

Another important task that the coordinator is responsible for is internal and external communication, such as creating content for social media, sending out newsletters, and producing materials.

The work will vary, and you need to be proactive and bring your own ideas. You should be structured and work with clear planning, as well as have knowledge of social media and communication. It is an advantage if you have previously worked with a non-profit organization or with the journal's target group.

The most important thing is that you are passionate about the well-being of young girls and want to be part of our journal and develop it together with us.

If you are interested or want to know more about the position, please email the board at [email protected] or call Tove Ovsiannikov, chairperson at 0707 98 52 43. Attach your CV and write a few lines about yourself and why you want to apply for the position.

Interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
