As a parish administrator, you will work as a specialist in close collaboration with the parish priest in Märsta parish, developing and maintaining the foundation for the strategic direction of the parish's four congregations.

You report directly to the parish priest and are an important part of the parish office located at Bragegatan 3, Valsta, Märsta.

You need to be used to taking initiatives, driving your work forward, and have good analytical and problem-solving skills. To succeed, you need to be pedagogical and communicative and possess a good ability to understand and have insight into the fundamental tasks of the Church of Sweden and the conditions of the congregations.

It is an advantage if you have worked in a non-profit or public sector and have an understanding of the Church of Sweden and other elected organizations.

We are looking for someone who:

• Enjoys working in a supportive role.
• Finds it easy to build and maintain relationships and collaborate effectively.
• Has several years of experience working with executive support and administrative management.
• Has a relevant university degree in administration, law, or equivalent.
• Is a good communicator and educator with strong Swedish language skills in both speech and writing.
• Is interested in and knowledgeable about the Church Order of the Church of Sweden.
• Is a member of the Church of Sweden.

Knowledge and skills:

• You have an academic degree in a relevant field. You have previous experience in executive administration as well as project and process management. You express yourself clearly and well in both speech and writing, and you have a good ability to produce text. To succeed, you need to have experience driving development processes in a complex organization, and we prefer that you understand an organization governed by elected representatives.
• It is advantageous if you have previous experience working in or for the Church of Sweden. We assume that you share the values and beliefs of the Church of Sweden.
• As a person, we believe you are open and attentive. You are curious, well-informed, and interested in our world. You are clear and have an easy time seeing structures and wholes.
• With your communicative approach and your attentiveness, you create trust and confidence.
• You are interested in and knowledgeable about the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Job responsibilities:

• To act as an administrative expert in the area of the Church of Sweden's fundamental tasks, Worship, Education, Diaconia, Mission in Märsta parish.
• To further develop the internal support for the parish priest and the congregational leaders with the goal of making the administrative parts of the fundamental tasks as sustainable, smooth, and simple as possible.
• To plan and implement capacity-building initiatives such as training, guidance, and templates.
• To support with advice and guidance related to knowledge of the Church Order.
• To compile and analyze the Church of Sweden's congregational statistics for Märsta parish.
• To collaborate with climate and sustainability coordinators, experts, and working groups in the dioceses and at the national level within spiritual and existential sustainability as well as cultural heritage.
• To provide administrative support related to congregational-wide - parish-wide projects and processes. This may include implementing the directional goals in the congregational instruction (FIN) throughout the organization. Another example is to prepare and promote staff days, meetings with various purposes in congregational activities, and meetings for volunteer workers together with the parish priest.
• To develop materials for the parish priest and the parish leadership team or strategic leadership team, as well as contribute administratively to the development work for the Church of Sweden Märsta parish.
• To work structurally and supportively with the parish's pilgrimage work.
• To document meetings at an advanced level.

• The Church of Sweden Märsta parish consists of four congregations, the cemetery administration, and the office.
