The Municipal Executive Office is seeking an energetic strategist who wants to help develop the office's important work in investments and premises. Together with the other strategists, we improve and develop Södertälje Municipality within our mission.

A day at work

The work as a strategist with us means that you work cross-functionally. This includes meeting politicians, managers, and employees within the municipal group. As our new Strategy for Investments and Premises, you will work on setting the strategy for our agreements and rents regarding our premises and properties. Here you will have the chance to work on long-term planning and development together with a great team, all while following our goals and strategies for sustainability and efficiency regarding management plans for premises, properties, and rents. Ensure that our projects align with Södertälje Municipality's strategic goals. Analysis and reporting of developments in rents and financial leasing, as well as developing and working with the forums surrounding investments and premises.

Who are you?

In the role of strategist in the Investments and Premises unit, we are looking for someone with analytical skills to see the big picture and think and work both strategically and operationally. You are quality-conscious and plan, organize, and prioritize your work effectively.
You are structured in your work approach and drive processes and routines forward in a results-oriented manner. You are used to coordinating and distributing work, and you are attentive with the ability to communicate in a way that makes the complicated simple.
We are looking for someone who is a good relationship builder and communicator who is comfortable holding presentations and workshops and enjoys working as part of a group.
To succeed in this role, we believe you are results-oriented, analytically strong, and love working in a team. You are a master at communicating clearly and have the ability to see the whole picture without missing important details.

Requirements:
- You have a relevant education and experience in the fields of property development, property law, premises, and investments.
- We see that you have very good skills in expressing yourself well in writing as writing texts and service documents is part of everyday life.

Meritorious:
- Particularly meritorious for the role of strategist is experience working with investment and project economics.
- Experience working in a politically governed organization.
- Other merits include knowledge of property law and experience in sustainability work.
- Experience in business development and goal management.

Personal qualities:
- To succeed in the assignment, you need to be open, creative, and enjoy independently driving and developing your own work.
- You should also have the ability to switch between working independently and being part of the group.
- You use your analytical skills based on set goals to see what changes and developments need to be made.
- The role requires you to be flexible, solution-oriented, and able to create trusting relationships by having a clear dialogue with various stakeholders.
- The work requires you to have the ability to coordinate and renew our strategies at the municipal group's overarching level.

The Investments and Premises unit is centrally located in the organization within the finance department of the Municipal Executive Office. We are a unit under development but currently consist of a manager and two strategists, as well as a matrix organization.

Selection and interviews may take place continuously during the application period.
An employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment.
For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
