Job Description

We are looking for a Facility Assistant for a 12-month assignment at AstraZeneca. We seek a communicative, service-oriented, and driven team player who is passionate about working with practical/physical and administrative tasks to ensure that the laboratory operations can meet their deliveries. As an employee within LabSupport, you will be part of a team called Stab, Climate & Support within Quality Control (QC) Maintenance & Support, located in Gärtuna or Snäckviken, Södertälje. You will have close collaboration within the team, with our laboratories, and with our suppliers. 

Responsibilities

Your main tasks will include:

• Daily contacts with customers and suppliers, primarily within the EU

• Participation in improvement work, goal setting, and development of action plans

• Problem-solving and lean work within your area of responsibility

• Order management to suppliers and delivery monitoring in our business system

• Receiving and unpacking deliveries, inventorying supplies, and administering this in our electronic systems

• Large-scale solution preparation of release media for the QC lab. A comprehensive project is underway to streamline the work and improve the work environment

• Gas exchanges, tubes & gas packages

Qualifications

• At least a high school education

• Experience in order management, inventory management, and supplier contacts

• Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written

• Proficient in the MS Office suite and preferably experienced with SAP

• Meritorious with several years of professional experience from manufacturing companies, warehouses, or inventory

• Experience in SHE (safety, health, and environment), LEAN, GMP (good manufacturing practice), and an interest in chemistry, microbiology, or laboratory work is a plus.
