The City Planning Office is planning for a future Stockholm on behalf of the City Planning Committee. We work with urban planning both at a strategic and detailed level, building permits, city measurements, property formation, and housing adaptation. The City Planning Office has about 350 employees and we are centrally located in Kungsholmen, about a ten-minute walk from Stockholm Central. Your role

We are looking for you who are systematic and development-oriented and want to take on the role of an important cog for the entire operation. You have the ability to drive change and are not afraid to take on new perspectives or tasks. As a development leader, you have a central role in supporting managers and operational developers in the change process and in coordinating and leading the office's operational development and digitalization journey. You are responsible for the office's joint operational development portfolio and report to the head of staff and office management. Some of the tasks include:

• Coordination of joint operational development.
• Development of service and quality from the customer's perspective.
• Participate in strategically important steering groups, working groups, and projects with a particular focus on quality assurance of operational development projects or other ongoing processes based on set goals.
• Assist the head of administration and office management in ongoing change management work.

Your qualifications and experience

We are looking for someone who has:

• A completed university education with a focus that the employer deems relevant to the position or educational background combined with professional experience that the employer considers adequate for the position.
• Several years of documented professional experience in leadership roles within operational development and/or digitalization.
• Good knowledge through practical professional experience in change management, operational development, project management, customer service development.
• Experience in leading digital transformation.
• Experience in leading operational development with a focus on customer experience.

We consider it meritorious if you also have:

• Experience in leading change work and agile working methods from larger organizations.
• Experience in the community building process and how process and method development is implemented in practice within the urban planning field.
• Experience working in politically governed organizations.

You work towards goals and focus on results, adapting your direction when conditions change. Your communication skills are good; you express yourself clearly both in writing and verbally and ensure that expectations are clarified. You are self-sufficient and have a very good ability to take responsibility for structuring work and independently driving tasks forward.

As the role involves continuous collaboration both within the administration, with other city operations, and external actors, you should have very good collaboration skills. Your ability to have a holistic view will be crucial for making wise trade-offs and priorities. It is natural for you to keep yourself updated on the latest developments related to your profession and the surrounding world. You have a great interest in both urban planning issues and digitalization as well as development issues.
