At the Swedish Work Environment Authority, we work together to ensure that no one becomes ill, injured, or dies due to work. Therefore, we assist employers in meeting the existing requirements and inform them on how to make work environment efforts a natural part of everyday life. Based on the Work Environment Act, we develop regulations, inspect workplaces, and disseminate knowledge about work environment issues. Our mission is serious, but our daily life is characterized by job satisfaction, and we are caring and helpful colleagues.
Your new job
Are you a recent graduate archivist or currently working as a registrar and want to develop in your role? Then this job is for you! As a registrar with us, you will register public documents received by the authority and provide support to the authority's case handlers in registration matters. You will also work with the release of public documents, which may become an increasingly significant part of your assignment over time.
In our unit, we work daily with large amounts of information. As a registrar, you are the hub, and it is important that you have knowledge of the registrar's supportive role in, for example, the case handling process. When you release public documents, the public is your target group, and the requirement for expediency and the Public Access to Information and Secrecy Act guide your work.
In this assignment, it is essential that you familiarize yourself with our authority's mission and organization, and you need to have the ability to maintain high quality in what you do, even when the pace is high.
With us, you work in a team, so collaboration and communication are key. In the registry, where you will have your main assignment, the work is led by a coordinator, and besides your registrar colleagues, you have document controllers who assist with support in your work.
Your background
The role requires that you have:
- A relevant university degree for the position, e.g., in archival science, of at least 180 credits according to the new system.
- Good knowledge of the regulations governing the handling of public documents.
- Very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
- Good knowledge of English.
- Good knowledge of the Office suite.
It is meritorious if you also have:
- Experience working as a registrar, archivist, or document release officer in the public sector for at least 1 year in the last 3 years.
- Experience with digital registration systems.
As a person, we see that you will thrive and succeed in the role if you are good at tackling tricky challenges and have a strong ability to solve them independently with the support of routines. You should also have the ability to adapt to unexpected and rapid changes in the assignment. Furthermore, you have excellent collaboration skills, a strong sense of service, and the ability to be proactive in building good relationships. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities during the selection process.
Employment with us may mean that the position is placed in a security class. Security clearance with or without a background check may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required. Security clearance is conducted according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
What we offer you
The Swedish Work Environment Authority is a secure and stable employer and an authority that is constantly evolving with the society we operate in. We are proud to use our knowledge and trust in our important societal mission. Together, we create an inclusive culture that encompasses heart, courage, and brain. With us, you become an essential part of something bigger.
As a registrar, you will be an important part of our unit where we all have information management as a common denominator. In the unit, there are archivists, registrars, and case handlers involved in the release of public documents. We also have employees who work strategically and with system management. We work in teams but also independently, depending on the role and assignment. We appreciate everyone's work, contributions, and development, and together we create a helpful, collaborative, and communicative work environment.
The employment is a permanent position, full-time, and is currently located at our office in Solna. We apply individual salary setting and a six-month probationary period.
We strive for all employees to have a sustainable work environment and a balance between work and leisure. Therefore, we have flexible working hours and provide the opportunity for remote work where the business allows.
About us and our benefits and conditions
How we recruit
We use competency-based recruitment, both to ensure the quality of the recruitment and to counteract discrimination. We therefore ask you to only attach a CV and answer a few questions instead of a cover letter when you register your application. Interviews are tentatively scheduled to begin at the end of week 6.
We believe it is important that you also get to assess us. Therefore, we welcome questions both before and during the recruitment process. Union contacts are Adam Jansson for Saco, Marita Jonsson for ST, and Jenny Bengtsson for Seko. All can be reached via the Swedish Work Environment Authority's switchboard: 010-730 90 00.
Do you want to work with us to ensure that no one becomes ill, injured, or dies due to work?
