The Traffic Office is responsible for managing and developing Stockholm's public spaces to ensure they are safe, attractive, accessible, and sustainable. The mission includes everything from taking care of the existing urban environment to implementing strategic investment projects and planning for tomorrow's growing metropolis. To accomplish our mission, we are about 450 colleagues, mainly located in the newly renovated premises of the Technical Committee House on Kungsholmen. Your role

The role of cost engineer is new and offers you the opportunity to influence and shape the assignment. Your tasks and areas of collaboration extend across the entire department.

You will primarily work with:

  • Quality assurance of calculations and production calculations from our framework consultants and contractors
  • Feedback and follow-up on experiences
  • Control and analyze calculations and assess their reasonableness and risks
  • Monitoring of costs
  • Be responsible for or participate in calculation reviews
  • Improve and develop our key figures
  • Assist in the evaluation of bids

Your competence and experience

You have a relevant post-secondary education or several years of work experience that the employer deems equivalent.

Several years of experience working with calculations in the industry, particularly in complex projects involving, for example, traffic impact.

You have a good understanding of the entire project process, including scheduling, handling of changes, the ordering role, and interpretation of drawings.

Knowledge of contract law, LOU, and the regulations AB/ABT.

Familiar with working in Excel and express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.

Your work is characterized by structure, planning, and prioritization. You identify deficiencies and highlight opportunities for efficiency improvements. A strong cost awareness is valued, with the understanding of the importance of delivering value for every tax crown. Your communication skills and collaborative approach make you good at building trust.
