To Nelly.com – one of the leading fashion e-retailers in the Nordics – we are now looking for an experienced Business Controller who is also driven by working with sustainability issues.

Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Business and Sustainability Controller at Nelly.com, you will have a dual role that includes both classic controller tasks and sustainability reporting. This is a new position where you need to bring deep knowledge from business controlling/finance, combined with an interest in sustainability issues. At the turn of the year, new EU regulations regarding sustainability reporting will come into effect, and it will be your task, together with our Sustainability Manager, to take the lead in that project and establish our sustainability reporting according to international frameworks.

Overall, you will work cross-functionally within the organization with many points of contact. You will support and drive the work with reporting structure and budget work. Each department has its own controllers who continuously work with analysis and reporting for purchasing, assortment, sales, and inventory/logistics, so your role is more about ensuring that the methods in the rest of the organization sync with the methods in our finance team. You will also contribute to the preparation of materials for strategic decisions from a company perspective. You will support the organization on a broad level and keep sustainability in mind in everything you do. You will drive projects towards set goals, and one such example could be establishing the methodology for our reporting structure in the BI system Qlik Sense.

Your Profile

We believe that you have extensive experience in business controlling. For you, it is natural to have good structure, report regularly, and be meticulous in everything you do. Solutions are something you quickly identify and work towards, combined with a liking for taking your own initiatives. Part of your tasks involves holding presentations in both larger and smaller contexts, including in front of our management team. Therefore, you need to be communicative and comfortable presenting your analyses and conclusions.

In retail, many decisions are made very quickly. You do not need specific experience from fashion and/or e-commerce, but you do need experience from similar roles and an understanding that we operate in a fast-paced industry. To enjoy the job, you need to feel comfortable working at a high pace and managing many parallel projects simultaneously. You are also used to handling large data sets, and if you have previous experience with Qlik Sense, it is an extra merit. Sustainability issues are not something you need to have experience with, but they need to appeal to you for you to thrive in this position at Nelly.com.
