Do you want to be part of developing and managing IT/OT solutions that are crucial for Sweden's future energy supply? Vattenfall Hydropower is now looking for a systems engineer to join our team for operational and process-related IT/OT environments.

You will work with Vattenfall Hydropower's operational and process-related IT/OT infrastructure. In our group, we are responsible for the operation and management of several applications. These applications are typically connected to various functions in our hydropower plants. This includes access control, camera surveillance, intrusion alarms, other alarm management, and data collection of various kinds. In this position, you will focus on the development and management of these applications and monitoring systems - functions that are crucial for safe, stable, and efficient production.

We work with support tools for IT/OT management, such as system documentation, operational monitoring, and log management. Here we use both open-source solutions and commercial alternatives. An important part of the management work is documentation, ranging from overarching system descriptions and overview images to details that are significant for operation, management, and troubleshooting. In your role as an IT/OT manager, you may also participate as a project member in the development and implementation of new systems or functions.

You will be part of a close-knit team of ten people where we work closely together in a helpful and open culture. IT security is a central part of everything we do, and we are looking for someone with a strong security awareness who is curious about being at the forefront of technology.

Requirements

For the position of systems engineer in IT/OT management, we expect you to have:

• Post-secondary education in IT or equivalent experience and training
• Some years of experience in the operation/maintenance of IT systems, preferably within data center/server operations.

In addition, you have experience in one of the following areas:

• Operating systems - Linux, Windows
• Frameworks or models such as ITIL and PM3
• Identity management and access control
• Systems for CCTV, access control, and intrusion alarms
• Basic understanding of virtualization.

Our IT/OT systems are often part of so-called industrial control systems (ICS) where the systems both control and monitor facilities. Experience working in environments with industrial IT systems is therefore an advantage.

As a person, you enjoy creating order and structure and are happy to contribute ideas and solutions to the group. The ability to work both independently and in a team is important; you will have a lot of collaboration both within our company and sometimes at the corporate level.

You speak and write both Swedish and English. After introduction, system readiness may be part of the job. Travel is required, and you have a B driver's license.
