IT Architect for Coordinated and Secure State IT Operations

As a senior IT architect, you will work with your IT architect colleagues at the Swedish Social Insurance Agency and other collaborating authorities to drive and support the architectural work for coordinated and secure state IT operations. An important part of your role as an IT architect is to work closely with the authorities that connect to the coordinated IT operations. You will be involved in the initial steps when a new authority shows interest in using the services, and you will participate in analyzing the needs of the authorities. Here, it is essential to be a trustworthy advisor who can understand the needs of connecting authorities while having good knowledge of the services provided within the coordinated and secure state IT operations.

You will also collaborate with the architectural functions of the delivering authorities to jointly create an architecture for the IT services requested for use by both the connected and delivering authorities. You will work with a team of IT architects to further develop, communicate, and apply the target architecture.

The position involves handling confidential information, which places high demands on proper management. Therefore, it is important that you, who will work with us, have a high security awareness.

We are looking for someone who

• has a relevant academic degree or equivalent competence acquired in another way
• has several years of experience in architectural work in larger organizations
• has good knowledge of various technologies, such as cloud services, hybrid solutions, access solutions, virtualization technologies, client platforms, container platforms, security mechanisms, and federation solutions
• has good and broad knowledge of how high robustness and security are realized through good architecture
• has good communication skills and is accustomed to collaborating with others, both within different parts of the organization and with external entities on architectural issues based on strategic priorities
• has an easy time coordinating and working towards a common whole within the architecture at a strategic level
• can easily translate various needs into appropriate architectures and IT services
• is comfortable describing solutions and architectures at an overview level in a clear and pedagogical manner at all levels of an organization
• is driven and results-oriented with the ability to prioritize what is most important.

It is meritorious if you have

• experience in architectural work in large-scale complex IT environments with high security requirements, preferably from multiple organizations
• knowledge of strategic work, consulting, solution proposals, and standards in the IT and IT security field
• experience in multi-tenant architecture, as well as operations with high demands for security and robustness
• experience leading others in architectural work
• experience working with external customers based on their strategic priorities and translating these into solutions that deliver value.
