Job Description

Do you want to inspire children and young people to develop through music? We are now looking for a piano teacher for a temporary position at Upplands-Bro Culture School.

As a piano teacher here, you will teach children and young people aged 6–19. The role also includes ensemble instruction and accompanying students at concerts, performances, and other events as needed. You will become part of a dedicated team where collaboration and development are in focus, and where we together create inspiring meeting places for the creativity of children and young people.

We strive to provide high-quality education characterized by joy, participation, and a love for learning. As a teacher, you are expected to contribute to the development of the culture school and collaborate with colleagues across different art forms.

We are looking for someone who:

• has a music teacher education or other education and experience that the employer considers equivalent
• has piano as their main instrument
• has documented experience teaching children and young people at various levels, preferably within a culture school or similar activity
• has broad musical competence
• has good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• has good digital competence and is accustomed to using digital tools in your work.

It is an advantage if you:

• have experience teaching and performing in different genres, such as classical music, jazz, rock, and pop
• have experience with ensemble teaching.

You work independently, take responsibility for your assignment, and enjoy collaborating to contribute to the development of the activity.

About the Position

The position is a 100% temporary contract for the autumn term of 2026. We would prefer that you can start on August 10, 2026, but the start date can be adjusted by agreement. Teaching begins on August 31, and the temporary contract runs until December 18, 2026.
