About the role

Stockholm International Academy in Hägersten is an established F–9 school with approximately 210 students. The school is located in a quiet area near commuter trains and buses in Älvsjö, featuring two pleasant schoolyards and proximity to forested areas. We are an independent school offering instruction in Swedish in accordance with the Swedish national curriculum.

We believe that language is the key to learning. Therefore, we work language-developingly across all subjects and focus particularly on the early and systematic development of Swedish and English. We have an active school library, well-equipped special classrooms, and staff who enjoy working here and choose to stay.

Our student health services are central to the school's development work. We collaborate closely between school leadership, student health personnel, and teaching teams to create accessible, safe, and inclusive learning environments.

We are looking for a lower secondary school teacher – 1.5-year fixed-term position

Do you want to help develop a school where language, knowledge, and good relationships are at the center? We are now seeking an engaged and certified lower secondary school teacher for a full-time fixed-term position lasting 1.5 years.

About the position

The position involves teaching at the lower secondary level, with primary qualifications in Swedish/Swedish as a Second Language combined with Social Studies (SO) and/or Natural Sciences (NO). As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, teaching, assessment, and monitoring students' knowledge development, while actively contributing to the collaborative development work of the teaching team and the school.

You will become part of an engaged teaching team where collaboration, collegial learning, and the best interests of the student are in focus.

• is a certified teacher qualified to teach at the lower secondary level
• has qualifications in Swedish/Swedish as a Second Language, as well as Social Studies and/or Natural Sciences
• works with language development in mind and recognizes the importance of language in all subjects

• thrives in a multicultural environment and sees diversity as an asset
• is engaged, solution-oriented, and has good collaborative skills
