Igelsta Primary School is characterized by a pleasant and welcoming work climate. Today, we have approximately 500 students from preschool class to grade 9 and about 65 employees. The school is growing in tandem with the expansion of the surrounding area. We have excellent facilities, a lovely outdoor environment, and close proximity to nature. We are building our operations, and you will have the opportunity to influence how teaching is conducted at the school. As a teacher, you will plan, evaluate, and develop your teaching with the support of your colleagues in the work team. The school has clear leadership and dedicated teachers where knowledge and the desire to learn are always at the center. We have well-functioning work teams and work to ensure that all teachers experience job satisfaction. An active student health team is present at the school, including a counselor, school nurse, study and career counselor (SYV), special education teacher, deputy principals, and the principal. Your Responsibilities:

We are now looking for an engaged special education teacher for grades 7–9, who will also have parts of the assignment linked to special pedagogical work. In the role of special education teacher, you will work with mapping, assessments, and analyses at both individual and group levels. In close collaboration with teaching teachers, you will design, follow up on, and develop extra adjustments and special support. You are responsible for planning and implementing teaching for students both individually and in smaller groups. You work systematically to monitor students' knowledge development and ensure that interventions yield the intended effect. Your competence will also be important in the work of creating accessible learning environments for all students.

In addition to the special education teacher assignment, part of the position will involve special pedagogical work. This includes, among other things, mentoring and supporting educators in matters of leadership and stimulation, extra adjustments, and special support. You will actively participate in the school's student health work and contribute to creating sustainable structures for collaboration between student health, work teams, and teaching. You will also play a significant role in school development processes regarding accessible learning environments, student health work, and promoting and preventive measures. An important part of your assignment is to contribute to making student health work a natural and integrated part of the school's common mission. You will have great opportunities to shape the position together with engaged colleagues and become a key person in the school's continued development work.

The position is a permanent and vacation cover position.

Who are you?

Requirements:

• We are looking for you who are a certified special education teacher and have solid pedagogical and didactic competence.
• Experience in organizing and leading teaching for both individual students and groups in lower secondary school.

• Confident in leading special education.
• Skilled at analyzing students' school situations and suggesting appropriate interventions.
• Capable of mentoring educators in both acute and long-term processes.
• Appreciate collaboration and have an easy time building trusting relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians.
• Solution-focused, flexible, and have a strong interest in school development and student health work.
• Keep up with current research and can translate new knowledge into practice.
