Description

The Language Centre in Botkyrka Municipality is a school unit responsible for mother tongue instruction and study guidance at 26 municipal primary and upper secondary schools, as well as independent schools. The Language Centre is also responsible for the reception of newly arrived students.

We have the task of preserving and promoting multilingualism. We strive to be at the forefront with an intercultural approach so that our students develop into brave, energetic, responsible, and open citizens.

As a mother tongue teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and developing teaching according to each student's prerequisites. You will also evaluate and develop the pedagogical work of the activity. The work is carried out both independently and in work teams. Your employment may also include study guidance.

You will conduct teaching at various schools in the municipality and will have access to technical tools to facilitate your pedagogical work.

You are also responsible for your own scheduling, working hours, and reporting in various systems.

You will belong to a work team where we work with various development areas.

Your main tasks are:

• Conduct mother tongue instruction and study guidance in Russian.
• Assign grades and assessments.
• Communicate with students, parents, other teachers, and schools.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility to teach mother tongue in Russian, or alternatively, eligibility validated by the Swedish Council for Higher Education.

We would like you to be interested in language development and assume that you have good knowledge of Swedish and the Swedish school system. You should be able to conduct teaching independently and based on steering documents, work in a structured manner, assign grades and make assessments, and have good collaboration skills. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

It is obvious to you to work with ICT and that you are interested in the digital development that you use in your work.

Requirements

• Mother tongue teaching license in Russian.
• Teaching license in other subjects.
• Experience working as a mother tongue teacher and with study guidance.
• Experience working as a teacher.
