Wood and Metalwork Teacher at Stockholm International Academy – Häggvik

Stockholm International Academy in Häggvik, Sollentuna, is an established F–9 school that opened in 2016. The school is located in a quiet, nature-rich area with good transport links via both commuter train and bus. Approximately 350 students attend the school, ranging from preschool class to year 9.

We are a private school following the Swedish national curriculum, and instruction is conducted in Swedish.

Our well-equipped specialized rooms for crafts, home economics, consumer knowledge, and natural sciences create excellent conditions for learning and creativity. The school has two playgrounds that encourage play and movement, and a small forest is one of our nearest neighbors.

About the position

We are currently seeking a certified teacher in Wood and Metalwork for years 3–9. The position is 80% and spread over four working days per week (Monday–Thursday). You will collaborate with our Textile Crafts teacher – you will each be responsible for half a class.

We are looking for someone who:

• Is a certified teacher with qualifications in Wood and Metalwork
• Has experience teaching in years 3–9
• Has clear and secure leadership in the classroom
• Is accustomed to working digitally and with language development
• Is flexible, cooperative, and proactive
• Has good skills in meeting students and guardians
• Is well-versed in the Swedish compulsory school curriculum and general guidelines
