Stockholm – our capital city filled with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. Now we are looking for you who want to think big, new, and different with us – for the people of Stockholm.
Welcome to us
The school is an F-9 school (grades 1-9) currently under construction, with a planned capacity of approximately 700 students. In preparation for the 2024/2025 school year, we moved to completely new premises and changed our name to Hästhagsskolan. The school is located in Farsta, in close proximity to the city center, public transport, and green areas.
We collaborate with other schools in Farsta to provide equal education in a safe environment. We want our school to be the best and most natural choice for all children and young people living in our local area, and the best school for all students who attend here!
We are looking for competent, engaged, and creative staff who want to help build this school together with us! Maybe you want to be part of this journey?
What we offer
You will have the opportunity to work at a school with completely new facilities and join a staff group with a good working climate and a strong desire to collaborate to achieve common goals.
Your role
We are now looking for an engaged special needs teacher (specialpedagog) or special educator (speciallärare) who wants to help continue building our school. For us, it is natural that we work together in teams, which is especially important when the operations are being established and developed.
We are looking for a person for our upper secondary level (grades 7-9) who likes to be proactive and involved in shaping content and creating routines and structures.
We are looking for someone with a strong commitment to inclusion and an interest in working together with educators to create the best conditions for our students. As a special needs teacher/special educator, you supervise and lead educational initiatives within your work team or together with the special educational team for the whole school. As a special needs teacher/special educator, you are flexible and have good knowledge of adapting teaching based on each student's unique prerequisites, and you see school development as a natural part of your assignment.
You have a positive basic attitude and thus the ability to show students and colleagues opportunities and solutions. We also appreciate your ability to create and maintain good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
The current position involves special education at the upper secondary level. In addition, the position includes assessment, planning, follow-up, and documentation of special educational measures. The assignment also includes supervising and guiding teachers. The position is partly linked to the school's learning studio, involving collaboration with teachers there as well as with the school's social pedagogues. You are also part of the school's student health team.
Your skills and experience
We are looking for someone who
- has knowledge of special educational methods and aids.
- has knowledge of assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, following up, and documenting special educational measures – including teaching
- has knowledge of supervising and guiding teachers regarding students with support needs
- has knowledge of disabilities and their consequences for students in a school context
- has the ability to create and maintain trusting relationships with students.
- has the ability to communicate, collaborate, and interact with other professions within the school
- has the ability to communicate, collaborate, and interact with guardians and other external actors
- has the ability to take initiative and act independently based on documented needs.
- can contribute in their work to ensure a student health perspective permeates all activities at the school
It is an advantage if you have subject competence in mathematics, as this is one of the school's development areas.
The City of Stockholm works with competence-based recruitment aimed at assessing each person's competence and thereby combating discrimination.
To work at our schools, you must provide a valid extract from the police criminal record and suspicion register before an employment offer is made.
Within the Education Administration, we apply individual salary setting regulated by HÖK and General Terms (AB).
