Do you want meaningful work that makes a difference in people's lives? Welcome to the municipality that is far from average!
The Education Administration is responsible for preschools, after-school centers, compulsory schools, upper secondary schools, as well as adapted compulsory and upper secondary schools. We have over 3,200 employees across 40 preschools, 22 compulsory schools, and four upper secondary schools. There is a strong commitment here to ensure that all children and students receive high-quality education, opportunities to develop, and the chance to reach their full potential. In Botkyrka, we see school success as the key to a good life and the strongest protective factor for the future.
The Role/Responsibilities
As a special needs teacher/special educator with us, you play a vital role in the organization. Together with your colleagues in our special needs team and the student welfare team, you ensure that our students have the best possible conditions for learning, regardless of their needs.
You have overall responsibility for the special pedagogical support for both students and staff in grades 4–6.
You regularly meet with the teaching staff, where you both support and challenge them in finding the best adaptations in teaching and the most appropriate support for the students.
You have delegated responsibility from the principal for content, language, and qualitative analyses and assessments in Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) and Student Welfare Plans (SWPs).
You teach students and provide both general support and special support in the school's subjects.
What We Offer You
The school is surrounded by fantastic nature, and the location makes it suitable for teaching both indoors and outdoors. The proximity to the Lida and Brantbrink forests is often used by the school for days where students and educators have wonderful experiences together.
As a special needs teacher/special educator with us, you belong to the Studio work team and the Student Welfare unit. You collaborate with competent and experienced colleagues who all have the student's best interests at heart. The student welfare team includes all relevant competencies: school nurse, counselor, study and career counselor, school psychologist, and school leaders.
In our Studio, we have a special teaching group, and we also receive students who need to take a break from the larger group for part of the day or during a period. We also have a therapy dog as part of our special pedagogical offering, as well as a social pedagogue who works on safety and well-being.
There is an opportunity to work part-time, 80%, if desired, otherwise full-time.
You Who Apply to Us
Requirements:
- You have a teacher's license.
- You have a degree as a special needs teacher (specialpedagog).

- You are structured and clear in planning, implementation, and follow-up.

To thrive in this role, we are looking for you who are analytical and can see and understand complex connections from a holistic perspective.
