About the role

Academic Work is currently recruiting Image Inspectors for the Swedish Transport Administration (Transportstyrelsen). The office is located in newly renovated premises in Visby, Gotland, and you will belong to the Vehicle Information Department within the authority's division for congestion tax and infrastructure fees. Between December 1st and February 28th, the requirement is 3 shifts per week. For the rest of the year, the requirement is 2 shifts per week. Your working hours are largely determined by the weather; it is quieter during spring and summer, but the need increases during the winter half-year. Work shifts are usually scheduled during the morning and afternoon, allowing you to flexibly combine the role with other commitments.

This assignment begins with a full-day training on one of the following dates: September 8th, September 22nd, or October 13th.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for reviewing camera images in a data system concerning congestion tax and infrastructure fees.
• Administer correct information from the camera images in the data system.
• The images you review form the basis for tax decisions, making this a highly important task.

We are looking for you who:

• Are studying at a post-secondary level and have at least one year of studies remaining, or alternatively have another occupation of at least 50%. This is regulated by a collective agreement, and you must be able to provide a registration certificate or employment certificate proving this.
• Are available for one of the full-day trainings.
• Have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, as it is used in daily work.
• Have good computer skills.

As a consultant, you will be held to high standards regarding the premises applicable during interest registration and shift booking. You therefore easily absorb and apply fixed routines related to work and shift booking. As a person, you are:

Additional information:

• Start: September/October
• Scope: Part-time. The starting point is 3 shifts per week (08:00–12:00 or 12:30–16:30) between December 1st and February 28th. Thereafter, the starting point is 2 shifts per week with the same working hours. However, there may be fewer shifts as the work is largely weather-dependent.
• Location: Visby. The work takes place on-site at the Swedish Transport Administration's office.
• Duration: 2 years, alongside studies or another main occupation.
