Göteborgs Port is Scandinavia's largest port and a central hub for Sweden's international trade. For over 400 years, we have been a natural gateway to the world for Swedish imports and exports. Today, approximately 180 employees work for the municipally owned company.

To the Corporate Governance department, we are now looking for a Quality Manager who will have overall responsibility for developing and strengthening the company's quality work.

Corporate Governance has the core mission of ensuring that Göteborgs Port develops and is managed in a sustainable, responsible, and efficient manner. The department's overarching responsibility is therefore to ensure that this mission is put into practice through a systematic and quality-assured approach, with a clear connection to the company's holistic perspective.

The department is led by a Vice President and is organized into three units: Strategic Planning, Office Administration, and IT. The current position is located within the Strategic Planning unit.

About the role

As Quality Manager, you have overall responsibility for leading, developing, and coordinating Göteborgs Port's quality and management system work. The role involves both strategic and operational responsibility, where you ensure that our processes, governance, and follow-up contribute to the company's goals, efficiency, and long-term quality.

You operate throughout the entire organization and serve as a support to the business in matters related to quality, process development, follow-up, and continuous improvement.

Main areas of responsibility

The role includes, among other things:

  • Manage and further develop the company's management system, including document handling and structure.
  • Lead, develop, and coordinate the company's process work, including the management process.
  • Plan, execute, and follow up on business planning and management reviews.
  • Generate, analyze, and follow up on key performance indicators (KPIs) and business data.
  • Drive continuous improvement work, including deviation management.
  • Plan and lead internal audits and coordinate external audits.
  • Ensure legal monitoring and regulatory compliance.
  • Integrate quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety work into the business.
  • Work operationally with risk management and damage management as part of the quality work.
  • Responsible for reporting to the City of Gothenburg as well as producing annual and interim reports.
  • Conduct training and information initiatives and support the organization in change management.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • Relevant academic education and experience in qualified quality work.
  • Competence in quality, environment, risk, audit, and project management.
  • Experience working with management systems, follow-up, and improvement work.
  • Good knowledge of business governance, analysis, and follow-up.
  • Ability to use and develop IT support linked to business processes.
  • Ability to see how the whole affects the parts and how everything is connected.
  • Easy to collaborate with and is unpretentious/hierarchy-free.
