Job Description
Do you want to lead operations that make a real difference in people's daily lives? We are now looking for an Operations Manager responsible for both housing with special support and day activities according to the LSS Act (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments).
As an Operations Manager, you have an important task to create good conditions for managers, employees, and operations to succeed. You lead through other managers and are responsible for operations, economy, personnel, work environment, quality, and development within your area. The role involves translating the administration's goals and priorities into concrete action, following up on results, and driving development forward together with your unit managers.
You lead your own management group of approximately 12 employees, located in the southwest. You are also part of the department's management group, contributing to both your operational area and the administration as a whole. The role requires you to switch between strategic issues and operational control, while creating structure, direction, and participation in everyday life.
The administration is in an important development phase where we work for increased equality, strengthened quality, good economic management, and better conditions for implementing decisions. As an Operations Manager, you will become a central part of this work. You contribute to developing working methods, strengthening collaboration, and creating sustainable structures that make a difference for those we serve.
In the administration, we lead based on the City of Gothenburg's approach. It should be evident in your leadership that you think new thoughts, care, know who we are here for, and work together.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a relevant university degree of at least 180 credits. You have experience of leadership at a strategic level and preferably experience of leading through other managers. It is meritorious if you have experience from a politically governed organization and from operations within the LSS, especially housing with special support and day activities.
You have a good understanding of control, follow-up, and development in complex operations. You are confident in matters concerning economy, quality, work environment, collaboration, and change management. You also need to have an understanding of the legislation that affects the operations, especially LSS, SoL (Social Services Act), and HSL (Health and Medical Services Act).
As a leader, you are clear, present, and development-oriented. You have the ability to create direction and build trust, while following up on results and ensuring that the operations move towards common goals. You are communicative and can convey information and ideas in a clear way, both orally and in writing. You adapt your communication to the recipient and situation and ensure that your message comes across.
You are goal- and result-oriented and have the ability to transform goals into concrete action. When conditions change, you can reprioritize without losing focus on the task. You also work in a collaborative manner, listen to other perspectives, and contribute to a good working climate. To succeed in the role, you need to have a holistic view and understand how your operational area affects and is affected by other parts of the organization.
We place great emphasis on your personal competencies.
Application
In this recruitment, you may be asked to answer a number of questions where you describe your knowledge and experience in the field, instead of sending a cover letter.
Please attach grades or degree certificates for the requested education.

For final candidates, testing at the Assessment Center is planned for September 3 and 8.
