Make a difference. Every day.
Are you a nurse and want to help drive our department forward? We are now welcoming two new colleagues to the lung department in Malmö!
The lung department is a care ward with integrated outpatient services, comprising 18 inpatient beds and 4 outpatient intervention beds. Here, we treat patients with COPD, emphysema, lung cancer, pneumothorax, and interstitial lung diseases. Within the intervention activities, bronchoscopies, drain insertions, pleural taps, and preparations for fine-needle aspirations are performed.
Our department has a broad patient group, ranging from previously healthy patients affected by pneumothorax to patients with extensive care needs in the end-of-life stage. This creates a varied and developing work environment where you have the opportunity to meet many different patient groups and care situations.
We are constantly working on improvements with a focus on working environment, work methods, workload distribution, and improving routines regarding our internal flows. In our operations, we value that our staff enjoy their work and feel secure in their roles; therefore, we cherish development and improvement. All thoughts and ideas on how we can become the best department are welcome. We also actively work with reflection as we face many challenges in healthcare. If you, as a nurse, want to be involved in any of these areas of improvement and share your experiences, this is a workplace where you have the opportunity to influence.
As a new employee, you are offered an individually adapted introduction based on your previous experience. During the introduction period, you also have the opportunity to meet the department's physiotherapists, social worker, and pharmacist to create a broad understanding of the multidisciplinary work. There is an opportunity to observe in other operations within the field of pulmonology, both during and after the introduction. You have the opportunity to attend our internal training courses as well as web-based courses, and a clinical base year is encouraged for those who wish to further develop in their professional role.
