RESPONSIBILITIES
In the role of occupational therapist, you will have a broad and varied job. The tasks largely involve educational efforts to increase the individual's knowledge and awareness of factors that support or hinder activity. At our team clinics, the occupational therapist's role is to be responsible for the activity assessment and, together with the team, determine if the patient is suitable for any of our pain management programs.
In the pain management programs, the occupational therapist's task is to teach in groups in the areas of activity balance, ergonomics, and stress management. The occupational therapist also guides the patient individually during activities. In this way, the patient receives support in practically applying and practicing strategies that can facilitate everyday life to manage pain better. Furthermore, you will collaborate and provide advice to relevant rehabilitation actors.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist with eligibility to work within Swedish healthcare. Proficiency in Swedish at least level C1 according to the Council of Europe scale is a requirement. You have experience with activity assessment and rehabilitation, preferably with chronic pain, and with a genuine interest in interprofessional team work. We would appreciate if you also have further education in occupational therapy and chronic pain, as well as a good understanding of the patient's complex life situation.
To thrive with us, you have good communicative and pedagogical skills. You will have many contact surfaces, both within and outside your own profession, so it is also important that you have good cooperation skills. Personal qualities are highly valued.
