DBT Therapist at Essensa Treatment Families – Hybrid Team Halmstad/Göteborg

Essensa Treatment Families is now looking for an engaged and competent DBT Therapist to join our growing hybrid team in Halmstad/Göteborg. Here, you will have the opportunity to work closely with children, young people, foster homes, and families in an organization where quality, evidence-based methods, and long-term relationships are the focus.

About the Position

As a DBT Therapist, you will provide treatment and skills training for children, young people, and families within foster care, outpatient care, and treatment families. The work is conducted both digitally and in person, offering great flexibility and the ability to meet clients where they are.

This is a hybrid position based in Halmstad or Göteborg, with travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Individual DBT treatments for children and young people
• Skills training according to DBT
• Psychoeducational interventions for children, young people, and guardians
• Supervision and support for treatment families and foster homes
• Collaboration with social services, schools, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), and other actors
• Documentation, treatment planning, and follow-up
• Participation in method development and teamwork

We are looking for someone who

• Is a licensed psychotherapist, psychologist, social worker with Step 1 or Step 2, or has other relevant higher education
• Has training in DBT and experience working with the method
• Has experience working with children, young people, and families
• Is self-reliant, structured, and confident in the therapist role
• Has good collaboration skills and thrives in a team environment
• Has a valid driver's license (Category B) and access to a car

Merits

• Training in CBT, TMO, attachment, or Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NPF)
• Experience working with trauma, self-harm behavior, and emotional instability
• Experience with digital treatment
