We are now looking for a Business Manager for On-Demand Transport in Skövde.
Start: As agreed / ASAP (mid-August)
End: May 2027
Location: Skövde, travel within the region may occur.
Engagement Type: Consulting assignment (interim)
About the role
On-demand transport is a central part of the local transport offer and enables travel for customers with special needs or where scheduled traffic is lacking. The operations include, among other things, transport services for people with disabilities, medical travel, school travel, local traffic, and is carried out in close collaboration with procured transport partners and other key actors.
As Business Manager, you are a close support to the Operations Manager and Department Manager in matters concerning agreements, delivery, follow-up, and partnerships.
You have a coordinating responsibility for two of the operation's most important agreements:
- The Transport Agreement with procured transport partners with an agreement value of approx. 680 million SEK per year.
- The Customer and Travel Service Agreement, which includes booking, traffic control, and customer service, with an agreement value of approx. 50 million SEK per year.
Your task is to ensure that the agreements are followed up, developed, and delivered according to goals, intentions, and agreed requirements. You have the holistic view of the delivery and work actively to identify opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement. The role operates at the intersection of business, agreements, delivery, and operational management.
Your role
In the role of Business Manager, you are responsible for the operation's two most important agreements and serve as a strategic support to the Operations Manager and Department Manager. You create a holistic picture of delivery, goal achievement, risks, and development needs to ensure long-term management and development of the agreements. The role provides management with the right prerequisites to prioritize and develop the operations. You work closely with the Traffic and Quality Coordinator, who is responsible for operational agreement follow-up and collaboration with procured partners.
You are responsible for:
- Integrating the Transport Agreement and the Customer and Travel Service Agreement from a business and delivery perspective.
- Ensuring that agreement follow-up is carried out in a structured and appropriate manner.
- Monitoring that the goals, intentions, and requirements of the agreements are met.
- Managing agreement issues, interpretations, changes, and supplements.
- Contributing to the resolution of emerging issues that affect the ability to deliver according to agreements with our procured partners.
- Ensuring that collaboration with agreement partners is characterized by a professional and well-functioning partnership.
- Contributing analysis and data for budget, forecast, and operational follow-up.
- Contributing analysis and data to Västtrafik's consolidated follow-up within the transport area.
In the assignment, you are responsible for:
Business and Agreements
Ensuring that transport agreements and customer and travel service agreements are managed and developed in line with the operation's goals, the agreements' intentions, and customer needs.
Follow-up and Analysis
Transforming data, follow-up, and operational insights into decision support, priorities, and improvement and development initiatives for the operation.
Partnerships
Building and developing professional relationships with procured agreement partners and contributing to a long-term and constructive collaboration.
Sustainable Delivery
Ensuring that the agreements contribute to a sustainable, high-quality, and cost-effective delivery to the customer and client while the operation develops over time.
We are looking for you who
You thrive at the intersection of business, agreements, analysis, and collaboration and have experience supporting management in matters concerning follow-up, delivery, and development. You are motivated by creating structure, seeing connections, and turning insights into improvements. You switch effortlessly between detail and holistic perspectives and build trusting relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. At the same time, you are clear in requirement setting and agreement follow-up.
You:
- Have a relevant university degree or experience that the employer considers equivalent.
- Have several years of experience in qualified work in related roles.
- Have experience in agreement interpretation, agreement follow-up, business management, or similar assignments where agreements, delivery, and follow-up have been central parts of the work.
- Have good ability to analyze results and turn analysis into actions.
- Are accustomed to working structured with complex issues.
- Have very good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
- Have the ability to build trusting relationships and collaborate with many different actors.
Meritorious experience
- On-demand transport or other public transport.
- Agreement issues, negotiation, and supplier management.
- Economic follow-up, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Process-oriented working method.
- Work in operations with many stakeholders and complex agreement relationships.
