We are looking for you who are experienced and competent in working with students who have extensive needs for special support. You should be calm and patient, and understand that you must work flexibly and close to the students to achieve the desired results. Knowledge of various neuropsychiatric disabilities is a prerequisite. The position will start in mid-August.

You will work as a class resource in either a lower secondary class or an upper secondary class. You will have special responsibility for individual students with, for example, neurodevelopmental disorders (NPD) such as autism/ADHD. You will be present with the students in the classroom during lessons and on the schoolyard during breaks. You will both help students during lessons and serve as a social support during breaks. The position can be combined with some part-time work at the after-school center. More information will be provided at a possible employment interview.

Immanuelskolan is a private school located near the center of Borlänge. We have approximately 140 students and strive to have small classes with about 22-25 students in each class. We want all students to reach their full potential, to learn as much as possible, and to be trained in taking personal responsibility and trusting in their own abilities. Great importance is placed on personal suitability. You are welcome to have experience from previous assistant jobs or similar work directed towards younger children. Education focused on children in need of special support or special pedagogy is meritorious. The position will be filled immediately even if the application period has not expired, as soon as a suitable candidate is found. The position is extended one year at a time subject to funding approval.
