Children and young people are important in Ludvika! We demonstrate this by placing children and young people at the center of the municipal organization. Most resources directed towards children and young people are consolidated under a single committee. This includes preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, and individual and family care. A conscious quality work is common to all operations, aimed at continuously developing and improving the work with children and young people.

The Workplace

Currently, the preschool has approximately 21 enrolled children distributed across 1.5 sections. The staff works in a larger team and divides into groups throughout the day. The preschool has space for 30 children, and when fully occupied, there will be two separate sections. Högberget is a multicultural preschool.

Job Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher with us, you work pedagogically with children aged 1–5 years.

Your most important task is to create and develop a safe and secure environment for the children, where they are attracted and challenged to engage in activities, learning, and taking responsibility. Together with your colleagues in the work team, you create an environment based on the children's needs and interests, where children feel they have influence and are involved in shaping the preschool's environment and activities. This requires you to take personal responsibility and collaborate both within the work team and with parents and other staff.

Ludvika Municipality is investing in systematic quality work for the preschool. Through pedagogical documentation, the preschool is monitored, evaluated, and developed. In this work, you will be a key player in the shared responsibility to plan, implement, document, and follow up on activities based on current governing documents.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a preschool teacher education or a teacher education for younger years with a valid teaching license, and you have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

It is considered an advantage if you have knowledge of special education, communication, and/or clarifying pedagogy. It is also an advantage if you have previous work experience in this field.

To succeed in the role of preschool teacher, you need the ability to create calm and security in the group of children, which promotes a creative and learning environment. Your knowledge and understanding of the importance of play for learning and the development of young children are very good.

Your attitude is positive in encounters with people, and you easily create good relationships with both children and adults. Your structured working method and sense of responsibility will make it easy for you to work independently and adapt to different situations.

Your ability to collaborate and communicate is good, and you see the work team as an asset where you together drive operational development.
