About the School

Skogsbo School is a preschool to grade 6 school with approximately 480 students. The school is located just outside central Avesta. At the school, we actively work to create good conditions for learning by offering a safe learning environment and high-quality teaching, both in school and in the after-school center. We are a partner school with Dalarna University, which means we host teacher education students every semester, contributing to our scientific foundation and development of our operations.

All teaching at the school should be permeated by our three keywords: learning, safety, and togetherness, to give all students the opportunity to develop as far as possible based on their prerequisites.

If the teaching certification is not met, a candidate with another relevant higher education degree may be employed, but not on a permanent basis.
