Job Description

As a teacher of Swedish and Swedish as a second language, you are responsible for the planning, implementation and follow-up of teaching in grades 7-9. You work both independently and together with colleagues to create teaching that is accessible, language-developing and stimulating for all students.

The assignment includes, among other things:

• Teaching in Swedish and Swedish as a second language.
• Work actively with reading, writing and language development.
• Create a safe, structured and motivating learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues, student health and guardians.
• Contribute to the school's continued development of teaching, security and study environment.
• Be a mentor for a class.

Qualifications

Basic requirements for the position:

• Teacher certification with eligibility to teach Swedish and/or Swedish as a second language for grades 7-9.
• Good knowledge of Lgr22, grades and assessment.
• Good ability to plan, implement and follow up teaching based on students' different needs.
• Good digital competence and use of digital tools as a natural part of teaching.
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing.
• Shares Borlänge Municipality's value base and sees all students' opportunity to succeed.

• Experience of teaching in both Swedish and Swedish as a second language.
• Worked at secondary school.
• Experience of language-developing working methods.
• Experience of teaching in multilingual student groups.
• Knowledge of language, reading and writing development.
• Experience of extra adjustments and special support and work together with student health.
• Experience of working in a socioeconomically varied or disadvantaged area.
• Used to working with collegial learning and school development.
• Experience of mentorship.

Terms of Employment

• Salary form: Monthly salary.
• Form of employment: Fixed-term employment.
• Duration: 6 months or longer, start: 2026-08-11, end: 2027-06-23.
• Working hours: Daytime.

The position is 100% with great possibilities for extension after the fixed-term employment ends.
