Special Education Teacher at Bjursåsskolan 7-9!

The Bjursås school district is facing an exciting phase of development and is now looking for an engaged and qualified special education teacher who wants to help shape the school of the future.

The school district consists of three schools: Bjursåsskolan F–9, Grycksboskolan F-6, and Sågmyraskolan F-6. All schools are rural schools with easy access to beautiful green and forest areas, as well as good opportunities for outdoor and sports activities. The school district comprises approximately 600 students and 100 employees. In the district, we want students to feel safe and well-being at school, as well as trust in the adults around them. Here, the staff collaborates actively to ensure that all students are given the opportunity to develop into their best selves. At all our schools, we work purposefully to develop student health services to promote health and prevent ill health. To achieve development and create a sense of community, we work with collegial learning.

Job Responsibilities

As a special education teacher, you are part of the school's student health team and have a central role in special pedagogical work. You work in close collaboration with the principal, other special education teachers, special pedagogues, and other professionals within student health services. You will also be part of the school development group led by the principal.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Ensure the quality of special pedagogical work based on current research and existing guidelines.
• Contribute to early identification and mapping of students' need for special support.
• Conduct mappings, investigations, and draw up action plans in close dialogue with mentors, students, and guardians.
• Act as a consultative and supervisory support for colleagues, the principal, and guardians.
• Contribute to systematic quality work to increase goal fulfillment.
• Work both individually and in the classroom with students, as well as supervise colleagues to adapt and develop learning environments.

Qualifications

Requirements for the role:

• Teaching certification
• Good communication skills in Swedish, both oral and written.
• Digital competence and experience using digital tools as an integrated part of teaching and documentation.

Employment Terms

Permanent full-time position, holiday service. Start date by agreement.
