Västerbergslagens Educational Consortium, VBU, is a municipal consortium that provides upper secondary education, adult education, vocational higher education, and commissioned training. We work on behalf of the municipalities of Ludvika and Smedjebacken. VBU has approximately 220 employees, around 1,800 students, and an annual turnover of approximately 225 million SEK. Your Responsibilities

We are looking for you who want to teach on the Vehicle and Transport Programme. You want to supervise and support students in their education regarding B, C, and CE driver's licenses, forklifts, wheel loaders, and YKB (Construction Vehicle Operator License). You plan your teaching in accordance with the school's current governing documents.

The role also includes contact and training of supervisors, as well as follow-up of students during their Work-Based Learning (APL). As a teacher at VBU, you provide leadership that is secure and challenging, creating trusting relationships with high engagement. Furthermore, you communicate and formulate goals and evaluate working methods, approaches, and goal achievement together with students and colleagues in daily work. You have a good understanding of how students acquire knowledge and take their different prerequisites into account.

Qualifications/ Merits

You have professional experience from the vehicle and transport industry and hold driver's licenses B, C, CE, and YKB.

Meritorious qualifications include teacher certification as a vocational teacher on the Vehicle and Transport Programme, teaching experience, a vocational certificate for wheel loaders, as well as forklift license B1 and/or knowledge within the construction sector.

About the Employment Terms

The position is a vacation relief position and a permanent employment starting 2026-08-10. Full-time (100%). We apply probationary employment of up to 6 months in some cases and require a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record) upon employment. More information about the school unit and the role will be provided during the recruitment process.
