We are looking for a substitute university lecturer in social work (100%) with a degree in social work (socionom) and a PhD in social work. The subject is in a development phase, and there is a need to strengthen teaching and development work. The employment is fixed-term for the period from 2026-08-01 to 2027-06-30, located in Falun.

Your working day as a university lecturer

We are looking for someone who can quickly step into teaching and contribute to ongoing courses and development work. The role involves teaching, supervision, and examination, preferably within the Bachelor's and Master's level social work programs. You are also expected to contribute to the subject environment and to collaboration between the university and the surrounding society.

Are you the person we are looking for?

According to the Higher Education Ordinance and the Employment Regulations, eligibility for appointment as a lecturer in non-artistic activities requires demonstrated pedagogical competence, a PhD or equivalent scientific competence, or other professional skills significant in relation to the subject content and duties of the position. Scientific and pedagogical competence are assessed according to the criteria set out in the employment regulations.

Requirements for this position:

• Degree in social work (socionom)
• PhD in social work
• Documented experience of teaching within the social work program
• Ability to independently plan, conduct, and develop teaching
• Good collaborative skills, initiative, and responsibility
• Fluent in Swedish

Meritorious qualifications

• Experience as course coordinator and/or examiner
• Research relevant to the fields of activity of municipal social services
• Category B driver's license

The social work program is primarily conducted on campus in Falun. Therefore, great importance will be attached to the applicant's ability to be present at the workplace.
