Västra School is a school for grades 7–9 with approximately 540 students, centrally located in Falun. We are within walking distance of the theater, Dalarna Museum, the City Library, and the World Heritage Site in Falun. Job Responsibilities

You will teach Spanish as well as another subject based on your qualifications, and may have mentor students. You will be part of a subject group and a mentor group that hold regular meetings. In the subject group, you will have the opportunity to discuss and develop teaching together with a team of qualified teachers. Within the mentor group, you will have the opportunity to plan joint activities and have dialogue with other mentor colleagues in the school's joint overarching work.

Qualifications

Required for the role:

• Teaching license with eligibility to teach Spanish and another subject for grades 7–9.

Desirable Qualifications

• Relevant and current work experience.
• A few years of experience teaching in grades 7–9.
• Training in supervising student teachers.
• Familiarity with current regulatory documents.
• Good digital competence.

Terms of Employment

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting August 10, 2026.
