Ängen is located close to nature and culture, but also has good connections to other parts of Borlänge. During the school year, we are developing our work within sustainable development and natural sciences. The area where the preschool is located is under development, and a new park for children, young people, and adults has just been built right next to the preschool.

Ängen has ample space for outdoor pedagogy and offers many opportunities to influence how this should function. In the nearby forest, there is an established, "real" troll forest where birds and other animals often appear when we visit.

The preschool plays an important role in the residential area, and we work extensively with language and culture as the foundation of our mission. It is a rewarding and interesting environment to work in, providing daily feedback that we are performing an important and developmental task.

All educators at the preschool have undergone training in Guiding Interaction – ICDP, and many have supplemented this with TAKK training. We also continuously develop our competence through study circles, lectures, and collegial learning.

Job Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for leading the work in accordance with the preschool curriculum. Together with colleagues, you drive the pedagogical work so that the children are offered an educational, joyful, and stimulating education. You are to plan, implement, follow up, and evaluate children's learning processes, teaching, and education. You are expected to contribute your knowledge and experience with the aim of developing the education.

You need to be able to translate theory into practical application to promote the children's education regarding care for the children and to increase the children's learning based on the operational goals in the preschool curriculum. This means that together with your work team, you develop inspiring and meaningful learning environments in everyday life through play, interaction, dialogue, participation, and reflection together.

Qualifications

Basic requirements for the position:

• Licensed preschool teacher
• Very good oral and written skills in Swedish.

Personal qualities:

As a person, you have good leadership qualities that make you comfortable driving and taking initiative in the work, as well as conveying information in a clear and simple way. You find it easy to create relationships and enjoy collaborating with others. For you, it is natural to share your knowledge to contribute to the development of the education.

Meritorious qualifications:

• Trained in ICDP, TAKK, and/or supervisor training to be able to receive students from the university.
• Digital tools are used in the education, so it is meritorious if you have previous experience working with them in a preschool setting. It is also positive if you have practical experience of work in a preschool and language-developing working methods. This is to be able to organize and develop the education and promote the children's language development.

If you have achieved 180hp/210 of your education for teachers for younger children, focus 1-5 years, you are also welcome to apply. We can then discuss a future employment.

Salary form: Monthly salary.
