Your responsibilities

As a special needs teacher in Leksand Municipality, you work pedagogically and socially based on the operations' goals and guidelines as well as current regulatory documents. A major focus for Leksand Municipality's school operations now and in the future is the development of students' reading and writing skills, which is integrated with the current curriculum that you are well acquainted with. You are responsible for the pedagogical content of the teaching and work to promote students' learning and development.

You will work as a special needs teacher at Tällberg School. You are part of the school's student health team together with the school counselor, school nurse, school psychologist, and principal. As a special needs teacher in Leksand Municipality, you are also part of a municipality-wide network for special educators and special needs teachers. The duties include collaboration with colleagues as well as communication with students, guardians, and other authorities. Together with your colleagues, you will participate in projects aimed at developing teaching and increasing students' goal achievement.

Your profile

• We are looking for you who are a certified special needs teacher
• Meritorious is previous work as a special needs teacher in primary school grades F-6 or equivalent, experience in school development assignments, experience in lead teacher assignments

As a person, you are flexible and used to planning your work independently. You are solution-oriented and have a good ability to see situations from a holistic perspective.

You are also clear, confident, and creative, and have the ability to inspire our students. You enjoy collaborating in a team and share your experiences for collegial learning that contributes to development at the individual, group, and organizational levels. Together with your colleagues, you work to create a safe, structured, developmental, and stimulating learning environment for the students.

About the workplace

Tällberg School is a grades F-6 school with an after-school center, beautifully located in Tällberg, approx. 1.5 miles outside central Leksand, with proximity to a rich nature and cultural life. The school has three work teams - grades F-3 and grades 4-6, as well as the After-school Center. Collaboration for pedagogical development is central, and the principal's area also includes Ullvi, Siljansnäs, and Gärde schools as collaboration partners to enable rich collegial learning. In addition, Leksand's schools collaborate continuously on various targeted competence development initiatives.
