About the role

As a teacher of Swedish as a Second Language, you have an important mission to work broadly across our upper secondary school programs. You will meet students studying both vocational programs and university-preparatory programs, teaching them Swedish as a Second Language levels 1, 2, and 3. You plan your teaching based on the school's governing documents and work together with other teachers and the student health service for the benefit of the students. You create safety and well-being at the school and in your classroom through trusting relationships that contribute to student motivation and personal development.

You will belong to the principal's area Hö1, but also teach at other school units. Your main workplace will initially be at Högbergsskolan in Ludvika.

About you

You are a certified upper secondary school teacher in Swedish as a Second Language. The position involves planning, implementing, and following up on teaching for your students. You are part of the Swedish subject group, where you collaborate collegially with other subject teachers. Furthermore, you have good digital competence and experience working in various digital platforms. Employment terms

The position is a permanent appointment (holiday cover) starting in August 2026. We require a certificate of good conduct (extract from the criminal record) upon employment and may apply a probationary period of up to 6 months in some cases.

Västerbergslagens Educational Consortium (VBU) is a municipal consortium that provides upper secondary education, adult education, vocational higher education, and commissioned training.
