Teacher for After-School Center at Östra School, Falun
Östra School is Falun Municipality's most central F-6 school and is expected to have approximately 250 students for the 2026/2027 academic year. The school is located in the heart of Falun, close to the Lugnet area and has a very nice schoolyard. We have good student results, which is a testament to the systematic and good pedagogical work of everyone working at the school. Together, we work for a good working climate, which leads to a safe school experience for the students who come here, and we value good dialogue with guardians. We are also proud participants in RF/SISU Dalarna's Sports Initiative in Schools. We now need to complement our operations with more engaged employees.
We are now looking for you who want to become part of our team and contribute to further developing the after-school center. You will be part of a work team where you are expected to work based on the team's goals, as well as plan and conduct teaching in the after-school center.

Responsibilities
In the role of teacher at the after-school center, you will work with students during the school day and at the after-school center. The work includes teaching, recess activities, planning, implementation, documentation and follow-up, as well as evaluation of the operations according to decided goals and guidelines. Through a clear pedagogical approach, you create an stimulating and safe environment for the students before, during, and after the school day.
In addition to teaching, other tasks occurring at the school are included, such as opening and closing the after-school center, contact with guardians, and collaboration with colleagues. You are expected to contribute to a positive working climate at the workplace.
Qualifications
Required for the role:
- Licensed teacher for work in after-school centers or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in the Swedish language in both speech and writing

- Experience in planning, structuring, and conducting teaching and activities in accordance with the school's and after-school center's curriculum, with a focus on creating a safe and learning environment for students.
- Good knowledge of extra adjustments and inclusive working methods
- Experience with low-affective handling and work with children within the NPF spectrum.
- Multilingualism

The recruitment is for a permanent full-time position.
