Job Responsibilities

The core of your assignment consists mainly of teaching. You are well-versed in the Swedish National Curriculum for Pre-School Class and School Years 1-6 (LGR22) and have experience planning, implementing, evaluating, documenting, and following up on students' knowledge development.

Your main responsibilities as a Senior Teacher include:

• Working with the school leadership as a process leader to lead development, analysis, and changes based on selected development areas through systematic quality work.
• Being a driving force in the school's work towards more equitable teaching based on students' needs.
• Supporting teachers in anchoring teaching in current research and proven experience.
• Developing teaching materials at the school to improve the quality of teaching.
• Leading discussions regarding teachers' reflections and development of their teaching, thereby enabling lasting and long-term changes at the school. Strengthening teachers' ability to use each other as resources in teaching.
• Studying colleagues' teaching methods with a scientific approach as a basis for pedagogical discussions.
• Contributing to the development of pedagogical models that make student learning visible.
• Supporting colleagues and VFU (Practice-based Education) supervisors during practice-based education, as well as being a mentor during induction periods.
• Supporting colleagues who lack formal education in the work with planning, implementation, and assessment.
• Having the ability to mentor colleagues in acquiring alternative teaching methods.

As a Senior Teacher at our school, your salary will be 10,000 SEK/month in addition to your base salary.

Qualifications

• Licensed teacher for grades F-6.
• Work in accordance with the curriculum and experience of doing so.
• Interest in developing students' abilities both academically and socially.
• Not afraid to work in teams regarding students and share responsibility with colleagues.
• Four years of well-regarded work experience in teaching from your current or previous employer, demonstrating a good ability to improve students' study results and a strong interest in teaching.

Employment Terms

The assignment is for 2 years, and the contract applies for 1 year at a time (1+1). This does not mean that Senior Teachers are replaced after each year. To be employed as a Senior Teacher with us, you will receive a primary employment as a teacher F-6.

You have the ability to look beyond your classroom and have an overarching perspective on teaching.
