Your Role

In the role of Teacher in Science and Technology, you teach students in year 6. You are responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching in your subjects based on the national curriculum. You adapt the teaching to meet the students' needs, interests, and prerequisites. You follow up, assess, grade, and document students' knowledge development. The role includes mentorship for students in the lower secondary school level. You are responsible for building trusting relationships, as well as inspiring and motivating students to develop through varied teaching methods and pedagogical tools.

The role involves close collegial collaboration within both the lower secondary school team and the year-level working groups. You collaborate regarding students, planning, assessment, grading, pedagogical development work, and systematic quality work.

Your Experience

For this position, you are required to have:

• Teacher certification with subject competence for year 6 in Science and Technology
• Experience working as a teacher in Science and Technology
• Experience in mentorship
• Experience working with students in need of extra adjustments and special support
• Good digital competence with experience in using digital pedagogical tools
• Good ability to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing

You have very good judgment in statements, actions, and decisions. You treat students and guardians professionally, with clear and thoughtful communication.

This is a fixed-term employment starting from August 2026 to June 2027, with a possible opportunity for extension. Boo Gård School is a well-functioning, pleasant, and relatively newly built F-9 school with approximately 830 students. The school has a beautiful local environment near forests and the sea.
