Primary School Teacher for After-School Center – Develop Teaching and Learning with Us

Soldalaskolan is a comprehensive school (grades 0–9) with approximately 550 students, where the quality of education is at the center of our development work. Our prioritized development areas are language and knowledge-enhancing working methods (SOKA), mathematics development, and collegial learning. These areas cover the entire school operation – including the after-school center.

We are now looking for a certified primary school teacher for the after-school center who wants to help develop teaching and operations where students' learning, security, and development are in focus. At Soldalaskolan, the after-school center is an integrated part of the F–3 teaching team, where teachers and after-school teachers together take responsibility for the students' entire school day and jointly drive the development of teaching and operations.

You will become an important part of our continued work to develop the after-school center's teaching in close collaboration with the school's other operations and contribute to making the after-school center an active part of Soldalaskolan's systematic quality work.

Your Responsibilities

The after-school center is an integrated part of the F–3 teaching team. You are an active part of the team and collaborate closely with teachers, student health services, and other professionals to plan, implement, and develop a cohesive education where the after-school center's teaching complements and strengthens students' learning, development, and security throughout the school day.

Together, you take responsibility for developing teaching and operations based on the students' combined needs and Soldalaskolan's common development areas.

Your responsibilities include:

• Planning, implementing, and following up on teaching in the after-school center based on the curriculum's goals and central content.
• Contributing to the development of the after-school center's teaching through collegial learning and systematic quality work.
• Integrating language and knowledge-enhancing working methods (SOKA) into the after-school center's teaching and activities.
• Contributing to students' mathematical development through teaching and meaningful learning situations.
• Actively working to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment where all students are given the opportunity to develop.
• Participate in the school's joint development work and contribute to turning analyses into improved teaching and operations.

Who are you?

You see the after-school center as an important part of the school's educational mission and want to contribute to developing teaching together with your colleagues. You work systematically, drive development work, and use analysis and follow-up as a basis for developing the operations.

You have clear pedagogical leadership and build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

Requirements:

• Teaching certification with eligibility for work in the after-school center.
• You can participate in and fulfill tasks involving staying in a swimming pool and supervising students in connection with swimming instruction.
• Good knowledge of the after-school center's mission according to the curriculum.
• Experience in planning, implementing, and following up on teaching.
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
