Special Educator/Pedagogue 40-60% at Josefinaskolan, Grades F-9

Josefinaskolan is beautifully situated in nature between Märsta and Sigtuna. The school is run as a foundation, is non-profit, and houses approximately 200 students in grades F–9, along with about 30 dedicated employees who together contribute to a learning-rich and secure school environment.

We base our work on the Swedish National Curriculum (Lgr 22) combined with Waldorf pedagogy's complementary planning tool, "A Path to Freedom".

Special Educator/Pedagogue

This autumn of 2026, we are looking for a special educator on a 40–60% basis who has a strong commitment to working with children and young people in need of support in various teaching contexts.

As a special educator/pedagogue at Josefinaskolan, grades F–9, you will work with various tasks within support, investigations, and supervision. You will be part of the school's student health team, collaborating with other pedagogical staff on both preventive and remedial measures.

You must be able to meet students with various difficulties across different ages and feel comfortable collaborating with both teachers and parents. We would appreciate experience in supervising teachers regarding assessments, adaptations, and documentation.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have worked as a special educator or special needs teacher and have previous teaching experience. Experience working with upper secondary school (high school) students is considered an asset.

We seek someone who is pedagogical, with a good understanding of how individuals absorb knowledge and their different prerequisites. You understand the shared mission and work to make it as successful as possible. You take responsibility for your tasks, drive the work forward, thrive in close collaboration regarding students and classes, and have a reflective and curious approach.

Salary according to collective agreement. We are slightly below the average salary in Sigtuna Municipality, but offer added values such as:
