Ekebyhovskolan is a school for grades F-6 with approximately 550 students, including those in adapted primary education. The school is located in a beautiful natural area in Ekerö, close to forests and nature. Our proximity to central Ekerö enables good connections to both Bromma and Stockholm. Good connections to the southern side of Stockholm are available via the Ekerö-Slagsta road ferry.

Job Description

We are now looking for a student assistant for grade 5 who will work specifically with a particular student in need of special support. The role involves creating clear structure, safety, and predictability in the school day, so that the student can follow the teaching and develop towards increased independence in their schoolwork. You will become an important part of the school's work in translating pedagogical planning into a functioning daily life for the student.

As a student assistant, you will be present in the classroom, during transitions, and in other activities throughout the school day. This role suits you if you are meticulous, calm, and clear, and if you thrive with a structured daily life close to students and teachers.

In your role, you will:

• Be a personal support for a student during the school day, according to assignments from the student welfare team and teachers
• Support the student in the classroom with a focus on understanding tasks, instructions, and work moments
• Help the student during movements, breaks, and transitions to create safety and predictability
• Work with concrete adjustments based on the student's individual needs and the school's planning
• Have ongoing dialogue with the responsible teacher and student welfare team regarding the student's development and needs
• Participate in meetings and follow-ups regarding the student's support measures according to agreed routines

You are close to the student during the school day, but are also part of the class's joint work and the school as a whole. The work requires you to be observant, attentive, and able to act calmly and objectively in challenging situations. You have support from teachers and the student welfare team and follow established routines for documentation and follow-up.

Qualifications

To succeed in this assignment, you should:

We are looking for you who want to be a clear and secure adult in a student's daily life and who have an interest in structured support work in schools. You do not need to be a pedagogical expert, but you must have the ability to follow plans, work methodically, and keep focus on the assignment. You have an objective and respectful approach, are sensitive to students' different needs, and can maintain calm when much is happening at once.

• Experience working with children or young people in school, leisure activities, or similar
• Good ability to create safety and build trusting relationships
• Clear, calm, and consistent in your approach
• Accustomed to close collaboration with colleagues and following common routines
• Basic digital competence for documentation and communication
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing
• Close communication with guardians
