Teacher for After-School Center at Danderyd Resource School

We are currently looking for a certified teacher for the after-school center (fritidshem) for our new resource school. The position is permanent, full-time (100%), starting July 27, 2026, or as agreed.
About the Workplace
The resource school is centrally located near Mörby Centrum and Kyrkskolan. Approximately 30 students will attend the school across four classes. Staff work in well-functioning teams alongside engaged and experienced colleagues. Responsibilities
As a teacher for the after-school center, you are responsible for planning, implementing, following up on, and developing education in the after-school center in accordance with the Swedish National Curriculum for Compulsory School, Preschool Class and After-School Center (Lgr22, chapters 1, 2, and 4) as well as the Education Act. Your responsibilities also include ensuring the after-school center's work to stimulate students' development and learning, as well as offering a meaningful leisure time that promotes safety, involvement, and social community. The school's compulsory education and the after-school center's activities should together form a whole.
A central function for a teacher in the after-school center is to lead the after-school department, and one of the primary tools is familiarity with the curriculum and other regulatory documents that define the goals of the activity.
In your role, you will among other things:
- Plan, implement, and evaluate education for the after-school center.
- Lead the team for the after-school center.
- Work with students, both individually and in small groups.
- Act as a resource in the classroom during school hours.
Qualifications and Merits
We want you, as an applicant for the position, to have:
- Certification as a teacher for the after-school center (lärare i fritidshem).
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language.
Meritorious if you have:
- Subject competence in Art, Physical Education and Health (IDH), or Music.
- Experience working with students in small groups and providing special support.
- Knowledge regarding students with Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NPF).
You are a clear leader with a salutogenic leadership style and good knowledge of the curriculum and the mission of the after-school center. You are good at collaborating and view collegial cooperation within the after-school center and with the school as an asset and a prerequisite for a school for all.
As a person, you should be positive, structured, and development-oriented. We are a school with the desire to reach all students and see every individual every day.
As the responsible teacher for the after-school center, you should contribute to a positive work environment by being a good role model in terms of interaction, creating good routines, and taking responsibility for good, positive cooperation.
