Stockholm – our capital city filled with millions of dreams, expectations, and ambitions. We work for everyone who lives here today and in the future. We are now looking for you who want to think big, new, and different with us – for the people of Stockholm.

Welcome to us

Hästhagsskolan is a newly renovated grades F-9 school located in Farsta, in close proximity to the city center, public transport, and green areas. Our adapted primary school is a growing operation, and by this autumn we will have 40 students from grades F-9. Therefore, we are looking for you who are competent, curious, and engaged, and who, together with us, want to continue building and developing our operations.

We collaborate with other schools in Farsta to ensure equal education in a safe environment. We want our school to be the best and most natural choice for all children and young people living in our immediate area, and the best school for all students attending here.

What we offer

Here you have the opportunity to work in newly renovated and newly built facilities. You will be met by competent staff with a great commitment to our student group. Learning new things and developing, both yourself and your teaching, is desirable and part of the school's systematic quality work.

Stockholm City offers an annual sum for wellness/fitness. Here you eat a pedagogical lunch which is free of charge.

Your role

As our operations are growing, we are looking for you who have a burning interest in developing the school together with colleagues. This year, the entire school has a joint effort regarding teaching development.

You see challenges as inspiring and possess creative, new thinking.

We are looking for you who want to continue developing and refining our already fantastic adapted primary school.

Your main task as a special needs teacher in adapted primary school is to teach students in various subjects and subject areas.

For us, it is natural to work in teams, which means that together with other teachers and teaching assistants, you are expected to collaborate to provide the students with the guidance and stimulation they need for their learning and personal development throughout their day at school. This is so that, based on their own prerequisites, they can develop as far as possible according to the educational goals, both academically and socially.

In your role as a special needs teacher, you are expected to propose measures and adaptations for students in need of these, and to participate in the preparation, follow-up, and evaluation of action plans.

Your duties include being involved in, and driving forward, the development of teaching in AGR (Adapted Primary School).

Your duties also include following up and assessing students' learning and development according to the MIRA model and on InfoMentor.

Your duties also include close contact with guardians to make students' learning visible and to maintain a good relationship.

Your competence and experience

We place great emphasis on personal suitability and the following competencies:

  • You have good collaboration skills and can build good relationships, as the work involves many contact points with students, staff, and guardians.
  • You must have a special needs teacher certification and/or a teacher certification.
  • You must have documented experience working in an adapted primary school.
  • You must have knowledge of clarifying and differentiated teaching.
  • You need to be patient, sensitive, and inclusive.
  • You are passionate about collaboration and have an unpretentious approach.

Here you can enter other desirable skills and personal traits required for the position, such as sensitivity, independence, and teamwork. (See the city's recruitment process: https://samarbete.stockholm.se/sites/Rekrytering/SitePages/start.aspx (https://samarbete.stockholm.se/sites/Rekrytering/SitePages/start.aspx))

Stockholm City works with competence-based recruitment aimed at viewing each person's competence and thereby combating discrimination.

To work in our schools, you must present a valid extract from the police criminal record and suspicion register before an employment offer is made.

Within the Education Administration, we apply individual salary setting regulated by HÖK (Main Agreement Collective) and General Regulations (AB).
