About the position
The position primarily involves driving, developing, and strengthening the administration's work with information security, data protection, and business development. You will mainly work with information security and data protection directed towards the Municipal Executive Office, and in the business development aspect, you will work cross-municipally with information management issues. In this role, you will work closely with our managers to drive the work forward.
Digitalization is one of Örebro Municipality's overarching focus areas. We need to transform and adapt to keep up with the rapid development. Digitalization is important to be able to offer citizens digital services and to internally streamline and improve our processes.
Examples of tasks:
- Work with systematic information security work within the administration.
- Coordinate the administration's work related to personal data processing and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
- Network and collaborate with other units within the department.
- Deliver presentations, lectures, and workshops.
- Coordinate assignments and projects based on the administration's needs.
- Participate in work with business systems for future information management.
About the workplace
The unit is located within the Municipal Executive Office, under the Administration and Information Department. The department consists of a total of approximately 85 employees and is divided into five units: The Unit for Council Support, Law, Public Guardianship Office, the Unit for Information Management and City Archives, and Office Services.
The unit works with information management and consists of 25 employees who work as archivists, registrars, and information security specialists, among others.
The operations work in activity-based offices at Åbylunden. We have flexible agreements and offer the possibility of remote work.

Qualifications
To succeed in the role, you need to have a good ability to independently plan and organize your work. You need to be able to absorb new knowledge, take initiative, and take responsibility for your tasks. Since you meet many different people in the operations, it is important that you can build relationships and collaborate well with others, and that you communicate in a trustworthy manner both verbally and in writing.
The work also requires that you have a clear holistic view and act based on the best interests of the entire operation. It is also valuable if you are flexible and can adapt when meeting different issues and contact surfaces. Furthermore, good computer skills are required.
We place great importance on personal suitability.
Requirements:
- A relevant university education of at least 180 credits.

Other information
The position is located in security-classified operations, and a security check with register control will be conducted before employment in accordance with the Security Protection Act.
Selection and interviews will take place after the summer. In our recruitment process, we use Assessio's test MAP and Matrigma. MAP is a personality test and Matrigma is a non-verbal aptitude test, both based on industrial-organizational psychology research. The tests are used as a complement to your experience and competencies, and the purpose is to ensure the quality of our selection process.
