ArbetsCentralen is now hiring a Counselor in Örebro

ArbetsCentralen is currently looking for employees for our office in Örebro. Do you have a passion for labor market issues? Do you enjoy collaborating with the business community as well as with various parties and authorities? Do you have experience working with people from different countries and cultures, or with people in transition or crisis situations? If so, you might be the person we are looking for.

About the role and you

We are looking for a counselor who already has a broad local and regional network within the business community. We are looking for someone who is very social, open to making new contacts, proactive, and has a sales-oriented personality. You should also be a team player, structured, and have the ability to communicate directly and clearly. You should have a natural drive and the ability to create joy and enthusiasm around you. We expect you to have good knowledge of Swedish, and knowledge of other languages is a merit. You need to have good skills in the Office package.

Your responsibilities

As a counselor, you will support and guide our participants in their job search. You will base your work on each individual's specific needs and prerequisites. You will map the participants' needs and plan for the interventions and activities that may be needed for the participants to reach their goals. The purpose is for the participant to enter employment or begin studies, and this is your main goal in your work: to match the participants.

Requirements for education and experience

Alternative 1

Education: At least 120 higher education credits (80 credits according to the previous system) or equivalent credits from a University College within the fields of: Working life, organization and personnel work, study and career guidance, business administration, work-life psychology, behavioral science, occupational therapy, or social work education.

Work experience: At least two years of full-time work experience. The person must have gained work experience during the last five years calculated from the day the person started the position as a counselor. Part-time work can also be approved if the total working time over the last five years corresponds to full-time work for two years.

Alternative 2

Education: At least one year of full-time post-secondary studies with at least a passing grade.

Work experience: At least three years of full-time work experience in one or more of the following professions or tasks:

• Team leadership with personnel responsibility
• Recruitment
• Transition work for job seekers
• Study and career guidance
• Processing of personnel matters
• Work with working life and labor market issues
• Work with social and group psychology
• Career guidance
