Our Mission

On the national department Support and Matching, we provide remote service and support to job seekers. We work with several important areas of responsibility such as matching, guidance, counseling, and decisions on measures for job seekers. Our primary goal is to reduce unemployment duration.

Our Workplace

The current unit operates in Örebro and Karlskoga and consists of approximately 150 employees. We work together where collaboration and collegial support are central to creating a vibrant and positive atmosphere. The placement is at the Swedish Public Employment Service office in Örebro or Karlskoga.

We work together towards common goals and can always count on each other's support in our daily work. Our leadership style is result-oriented with a close and coaching approach that encourages participation, motivation, and responsibility.

Job Description

We focus on job seekers, and in your role, you will be a key support for job seekers across the country, making a difference every day.

A central part of the work is matching to jobs and education, guidance, and making decisions on measures for our job seekers.

You will offer support to job seekers via telephone and work with scheduled tasks against set goals. In your daily work, you will navigate multiple systems simultaneously and interpret and apply laws and regulations.

Your employment begins with an introduction where you will be well-equipped with the necessary skills to handle your future tasks as a government official.

What We Offer

The position is a permanent full-time employment starting with a six-month probationary period. Start date by agreement. The placement is either in Örebro or Karlskoga.

We are looking for approximately 10 employees placed in Örebro and approximately 15–20 employees placed in Karlskoga. Placement is offered based on the organization's needs.

We offer favorable vacation agreements, the possibility of flexible hours in agreement with the employer (after completing the introduction of approx. 9 weeks), workplace wellness activities, and a wellness allowance. As an employee, you have the opportunity to work remotely for part of your working hours (after completing the probationary period).

Basic Requirements for the Position

  • University/college education of at least 180 higher education credits (120 credits under the previous system)

Alternatively

  • Worked at the Swedish Public Employment Service as a labor market mediator, case officer, customer resource, caseworker, or service handler

And

  • At least 2 years of work experience, combined work of at least 50 percent over a total of two years
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish

Other Merits for the Position

  • Worked for at least 1 year with support and service to customers via telephone
  • Worked for at least 1 year within state operations
  • Worked for at least 1 year with guidance towards work and/or studies
