Adult education (folkbildning) is about people's desire to learn. At Medborgarskolan, participants choose to develop themselves, whether it involves a creative course, a career step forward, or a new hobby. Our role is to create the right conditions for this. We are now looking for you who want to help develop tomorrow's adult education together with engaged colleagues, course leaders, and partners.
About the role
As a Business Developer in adult education, you scan society and the market to see what is in demand and needed. In some cases, you take over existing operations; in others, you build entirely new ones. You are the one who builds and manages the operations, hires course leaders, and attracts participants through active sales. You are one of Medborgarskolan's ambassadors!
To succeed, you should:
- Have an entrepreneurial mindset and be sensitive to the external environment.
- Enjoy networking with associations, companies, and the public sector to find new collaborations and build new adult education activities together with them.
- Enjoy developing both existing and new courses and collaborating with current and new course leaders.
- Be solution- and development-focused, both internally and externally, and contribute improvement suggestions that develop both the business and yourself.
- Enjoy collaborating with colleagues and are driven by working towards set goals.
- Have clear self-leadership and take responsibility for several areas of operation where you plan, sell, develop, and follow up on your activities.
- Have good computer and system skills.
- Hold a valid driver's license (Category B) (preferably also for cars with manual transmission).
It is an advantage if:
- You have adequate education and/or experience from similar assignments.
- You have worked with revenue and profit budgets and are accustomed to making financial forecasts.
- You have experience in sales and experience working in a project format.

About the employment
- The position is currently a six-month fixed-term contract, with a likely extension. Start date as soon as possible.
- Location: Örebro.

Medborgarskolan is one of Sweden's leading study associations that promote democracy and diversity through education and learning. The organization is politically and religiously independent and is based on humanistic values, where the individual is at the center and development occurs through collaboration. Medborgarskolan Mitt is one of six regions in Sweden, responsible for Svealand and Gävleborg. The region conducts adult education, Showdance School Entré, commissioned training, and schools. Within adult education, the region has over 40 employees and collaborates with approximately 500 course and circle leaders.
