The Employment and Integration Unit in Hallsberg Municipality is now seeking an Employment Consultant for our employment unit. As an Employment Consultant, you are responsible for receiving clients and planning interventions aimed at strengthening the individual's opportunities for employment or studies!

About the Operations

The mandate of the Employment and Integration Unit consists of coordinating interventions through various commissioners, as well as offering certain job-seeking municipal residents work training and support to move closer to self-sufficiency. The unit also handles the municipality's integration work, coordination of holiday internships, and projects to strengthen individuals' language development.

Job Responsibilities

In your role as an Employment Consultant, you will collaborate closely with the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen) and the Social Services, as many assignments originate from there. Together with participants, you will create action plans with goals and sub-goals, focusing on the fastest path to self-sufficiency. The responsibilities include securing internship placements, both internally and externally. In our own operations, we have simple production activities, as well as an external team that assists with services to the municipality's departments. The work also includes some training for participants, such as labor market knowledge and digitalization.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a university degree or other equivalent education that the employer deems relevant for the position, as well as work experience within the employment and integration field.

As a person, you are service-oriented, receptive, and driven. You are both an independent problem solver and a good team player. You are flexible and learn new things easily. Handling multiple tasks and working in change is something that appeals to you. Personal suitability for the position will be assessed.

Experience in motivational interviewing, integration, and working with young adults is meritorious, as is an academic basic education deemed suitable for the assignment. You have a structured approach to work and the ability to meet people from different backgrounds. Furthermore, you must have good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.

A driver's license for manual transmission vehicles is required.
