About the Department

The Municipal Executive Office is responsible for the leadership and coordination of all municipal operations. The Digitalization Department is a newly established department tasked with driving the municipality's digital transformation and contributing to the development of future municipal operations. We have high ambitions and work actively to use digitalization as a force to create smarter ways of working, more efficient processes, and better service to residents and businesses. The department consists of two units: Strategic Steering and Digital Development, where you will become part of the Strategic Steering unit.

As a Business Developer in the Digitalization Department, you work closely with the municipality's operations to understand needs, identify opportunities, and drive development with the support of digitalization.

Responsibilities

  • Drive, coordinate, and implement development assignments within digitalization, quality, and business development.
  • Lead projects, investigations, and change initiatives from need/idea to implementation and follow-up.
  • Map and analyze processes and working methods to create an understanding of the current situation, needs, and improvement opportunities.
  • Through work close to the operations, you identify opportunities where digitalization, automation, and new working methods can streamline processes, free up resources, and create value. In close collaboration with the Digital Development unit, you translate needs and ideas into concrete results.
  • Produce analyses and decision support materials by compiling and using data, statistics, and operational information as support for development and decision-making.
  • Work with benefit analysis, follow-up, and effect harvesting to ensure that development efforts lead to desired results in the form of increased quality, more efficient working methods, and better resource utilization.
  • Plan and facilitate workshops and dialogues.
  • Continuously monitor the external environment within the field of digitalization.
  • Drive the development of the municipality's common working methods and strengthen the organization's capability in digitalization, quality, and business development.
  • Create engagement and participation in change work together with the operations and contribute with analyses and materials as support for decisions.

Qualifications and Merits

The following are required for the position:

  • Relevant academic degree or equivalent experience assessed as equivalent.
  • You have digital maturity and good experience working in digital environments.
  • You master Swedish and English at a very good level.
  • You have experience driving business development or digitalization work.
  • You work in a structured manner and have an analytical approach.
  • You contribute to good collaboration by having an open, accommodating, and problem-solving approach.
  • You have good self-leadership and the ability to independently plan, structure, and drive your work forward.
  • You are proactive and have the ability to create structure and momentum even in complex assignments where the path forward is not always clear.
  • You translate ideas and needs into concrete results together with the operations and in close collaboration with the Digital Development unit.

It is meritorious if you have experience with:

  • Project management
  • Change management
  • Process mapping and process development
  • Data-driven development work and the use of decision support or BI tools

About the Employment

Employment Type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: As agreed.
